How Healthy is Your Plate?

Come and find out what a healthy plate should look like!

Staff from the Nutrition and Dietetics Department are looking forward to meeting you at the Open Day.

On the day, we will be based in the Physiotherapy Department on level 7 with lots of different interactive fun activities (if you enter the main entrance of level 6, take the stairs/lift next to Warren’s Bakery and then turn right, you will see the sign for Physiotherapy) .

Do the kids know more than the parents? Come and find out about healthy eating with our interactive giant plate of food.

With our special scales, the team can calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) and ‘inner’ fat levels – walk away amazed or with a new ‘Spring’ resolution (though the secret is yours!)

You can ‘feed’ our special patient and we can show you how people are tube-fed.

Find out how tube-feeding works!

A member of the Dietetics Team will be giving a specialist careers talk (between 12:50 and 13:00) at the Careers Fair in the Discovery Library on level 5, about career pathways and the work of a Dietitian. We advise advance booking via the free Open Day app, as the room has limited capacity.

We can’t wait to meet all our visitors on the day and we hope that you will find our stand to be fun, interactive and informative.
